What this page covers
- What the simulator is and is not
- Known limitations
- Responsible use guidelines
What Selection Room is
A tool to audit, explain, and stress-test ranking assumptions with reproducible inputs.
What Selection Room is not
- Not an official CFP product
- Not a committee-vote replica
- Not a claim that the committee is wrong
- Not a substitute for human judgment
Known limitations
- Committee subjectivity is not fully captured in data
- Injuries and availability are not modeled
- Weights are configurable defaults, not secret committee weights
- Min-max normalization makes scores relative to each run universe
- Selection Stability varies weights only; it does not simulate future games
- Historical validation is informative, not proof of replication
Warning
Do not present model output as an official projection or claim unsupported bias without cited evidence.
